Community chooses new logo for Harbor Bridge Project

CORPUS CHRISTI—Hundreds of voters took their time to help select a new logo design for the Harbor Bridge Project. The TxDOT-Corpus Christi District and the construction firm hired to build the new Harbor Bridge, Flatiron/Dragados, LLC, are proud to announce the winning logo received 67 percent of the vote and is included below.

Online voting kicked off Monday, September 26, and was open to the public for a two-week period. During that time, two logo concepts representing the Harbor Bridge Project were posted on the Project website, www.harborbridge.com, for viewing and voting. Participants had the chance to vote for their favorite logo while also being part of the history-making project. The winning logo will represent the Harbor Bridge Project and will be used on a variety of marketing materials and other project documents to assist with promoting a consistent brand.

About the Harbor Bridge Project: The nearly $900 million project will include the development, design and construction of just over six miles of combined bridge and roadway. It will include the new six-lane Harbor Bridge, as well as, the reconstruction of approximately 1.6 miles of IH-37 and approximately one mile of the Crosstown Expressway. Once the new bridge is open to the traveling public, the project will conclude with the demolition of the existing Harbor Bridge. It is anticipated that the project will take five years to complete.
