CORPUS CHRISTI –Beginning Thursday, December 10, the exit ramp for Port Avenue from northbound IH 37 will be closed for overhead work from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Friday, December 11. This closure is necessary for construction related to the Harbor Bridge Project.
Traffic accessing Port Avenue will need to use the Tancahua Street exit coming from southbound US 181 or utilize N Staples Street to access the westbound frontage road (Martin Luther King Drive) to Port Avenue. Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the exit ramp closure, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
