On Thursday, April 15, the direct connector from northbound SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) to southbound IH 37 will be closed from 9 pm until 1 am, April 16. On the same night, the direct connector from northbound SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) to northbound IH 37 will be closed from 2 am until 6 am, April 16.

CORPUS CHRISTI – On Thursday, April 15, the direct connector from northbound SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) to southbound IH 37 will be closed from 9 pm until 1 am, April 16.

Motorists heading northbound on SH 286 will take the IH 37 northbound exit and make a U-turn at Up River Road to continue southbound IH 37.

On the same night, the direct connector from northbound SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) to northbound IH 37 will be closed from 2 am until 6 am, April 16.

Motorists heading northbound on SH 286 will take the IH 37 southbound exit and make a U-turn at Chaparral Street to continue northbound on IH 37.

The closures are necessary for construction of the new interchange bridges for the Harbor Bridge Replacement Project. Portable message signs will be in place to assist motorists with navigating through the alternate route.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the closures, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones.  All work is weather permitting.
