On Friday, June 4 , all northbound IH 37 mainlanes will be closed near the IH 37 and SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) interchange from 9 pm until 6 am on Saturday, June 5.

CORPUS CHRISTI – On Friday, June 4 , all northbound IH 37 mainlanes will be closed near the IH 37 and SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) interchange from 9 pm until 6 am on Saturday, June 5.   This closure is necessary for construction related to the Harbor Bridge Project.

Motorists heading northbound on IH 37 from US 181 will take the Port Avenue exit to the Martin Luther King Drive frontage road and merge onto northbound IH 37 at the new Stillman Avenue on-ramp.

Motorists traveling from downtown will follow the detour signs to N Chaparral Street, Belden Street, N Tancahua, to the Martin Luther King Drive frontage road and merge onto IH 37 at the new Stillman Avenue on-ramp.

Portable message signs will be in place to assist motorists with navigating the alternate routes.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the mainlane closures, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones.  All work is weather permitting.
