CORPUS CHRISTI – On Thursday, June 17, all southbound IH 37 mainlanes will be closed near the IH 37 and SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) interchange from 9 pm until 6 am on Friday, June 18.   This closure is necessary for construction related to the Harbor Bridge Project.

Motorists heading southbound on IH 37 towards downtown and North Beach will be detoured onto southbound SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway), make a U-turn at Tarlton Avenue, and back to southbound IH 37.

Portable message signs will be in place to assist motorists with navigating the alternate routes.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the mainlane closures, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones.  All work is weather permitting.
