CORPUS CHRISTI – On Monday, October 3, from 9 pm until 6 am, Tuesday, October 4, all northbound US 181 mainlanes will be closed between Burleson Street and Beach Avenue. The full closure is necessary for asphalt improvements related to the Harbor Bridge Project.
Motorists heading northbound on US 181 will be detoured at the Burleson Street exit and follow the E Causeway Boulevard frontage road to reenter US 181 past Beach Avenue.
Portable message signs will be in place to alert motorists of the mainlane closures and detour routes.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the mainlane closures, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
