CORPUS CHRISTI – On Saturday, May 6, Coke Street will close permanently from Mestina to Leopard Street. This closure will allow FDLLC to complete construction of the new Leopard Street Bridge and Southwest Loop Ramp. Motorists and pedestrian traffic from Comanche Street and Leopard Street will be routed through the recently completed Mestina and Doss Streets and sidewalks. Access to local businesses and residential homes will be maintained.
The traffic shift signifies progress toward permanent traffic configurations within the Harbor Bridge Project south interchange work.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the new traffic pattern and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
