CORPUS CHRISTI – On Thursday, July 6, from 9 pm until 6 am, Friday, July 7, the connector ramp for southbound IH 37 to southbound SH 286 will be closed. The temporary closure is necessary for Harbor Bridge Project construction activity around the South Interchange.
Motorists heading southbound on IH 37 to southbound SH 286 will be detoured to take the Port Avenue exit, turn right on Port Avenue, continue, and turn left on Comanche Street to continue to the SH 286 entrance ramp.
Portable message signs will be in place to alert motorists of the closure and to assist with navigating the alternate route.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the temporary closure, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
