Upcoming Harbor Bridge Project temporary ramp closures to affect northbound IH 37 access. (Temporary ramp closures to be in effect August 8 – 9, 2023)

CORPUS CHRISTI – On Tuesday, August 8, from 9 am until 3 pm, the north/westbound entrance ramp to IH 37 at Stillman Avenue will be closed for utility work. Motorists will be detoured to continue on the Martin Luther King Drive frontage road to access IH 37 at the Up River Road entrance ramp.

On Wednesday, August 9, from 9 am until 3 pm, the south/eastbound entrance ramp to IH 37 at Nueces Bay Boulevard will be closed for utility work. Motorists will be detoured to continue on the Antelope Street frontage road, turn right on Port Avenue, and left on Comanche Street to access southbound SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway). Motorists heading towards the Bayfront or North Beach will continue southbound on SH 286, make a U-turn at Tarlton Avenue, and head northbound on SH 286 to the northbound US 181 or Staples Street exit.

Portable message signs will be in place to alert motorists of the closure and to assist with navigating the alternate route.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the temporary ramp closures, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
