Upcoming Harbor Bridge Project temporary closure to affect the connector ramp from northbound SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) to northbound I-37. Temporary nighttime closure to be in effect August 1.

CORPUS CHRISTI – On Thursday, August 1, from 9 pm until 6 am, Friday August 2, the connector ramp from northbound SH 286 to westbound I-37 will be closed for one night only. The short-term closure is necessary for overhead construction at the South Interchange.

Motorists heading northbound on SH 286 to westbound I-37 towards Annaville will be detoured to take the Comanche Street exit and follow the frontage road to Staples Street, turn left on Staples Street, and turn left on the Martin Luther King Drive frontage road to enter I-37 at the Stillman Avenue on-ramp.

Please see the attached map highlighting the detour map. Message boards will be in place to assist motorists with the alternate route.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the ramp closure, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones.  All work is weather permitting.
