The Harbor Bridge Project announces paving operation to install the final surface layer along I-37 mainlanes and frontage road from Nueces Bay to Staples Street. Intermittent lane and ramp closures will occur. (Paving operation and short-term closures to continue along I-37 through September 20, 2024)

CORPUS CHRISTI – Continuing Thursday, September 12, through Friday, September 20, paving convoys will be in place along I-37 mainlanes and frontage roads to install final asphalt surface layers from Nueces Bay Blvd to Staples Street. Entrance and exit ramps, frontage roads, and mainlanes will be intermittently closed to support the operation as it progresses. This final step to complete the roadways marks a significant milestone towards improved connectivity around the South Interchange.

Commuters are urged to be aware of short-term closures, traffic control devices, flaggers, reduced lanes, and slow-moving traffic along the frontage roads and mainlanes. All work is weather permitting.
