CORPUS CHRISTI – Beginning Monday, October 21, from 9 pm until 6 am, nightly through Thursday, October 24, alternating IH 37 mainlane closures will occur between Nueces Bay Blvd and Port Avenue. The temporary lane closures are necessary to continue final painting operations on overhead bridge structures.
Motorists heading eastbound on IH 37 towards the Bayfront or northbound US 181 towards North Beach should be prepared for slower-moving traffic.
Traffic control devices will be in place during the alternating lane closures.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the mainlane closures, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
