CORPUS CHRISTI – On Wednesday, June 4, from 9 pm until 6 am, the exit ramp from southbound US 181 to Port Avenue and the Northwest Loop Ramp for southbound SH 286 will be closed. The closure is necessary for overhead sign installation.
Motorists will be detoured to the next I-37 exit ramp and continue on the Martin Luther King Drive frontage road, take the U-turn at Nueces Bay Blvd, and reenter southbound I-37 for the direct connector to southbound SH 286. Portable message signs will be in place to alert commuters of the temporary exit ramp closure and potential traffic delays.
Motorists are urged to be aware of slow-rolling traffic, plan for an alternate route, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
