CORPUS CHRISTI – Beginning Sunday, June 22, from 9 pm until 6 am through Wednesday, June 25, motorists should plan for various mainlane reductions and a ramp closure. The following temporary closures are necessary to continue installing permanent overhead signs.
Sunday, June 22, from 9 pm until midnight: A southbound US 181 mainlane reduction will be in place from Beach Avenue to Burleson Street. Motorists should plan for slow-rolling traffic.
Monday, June 23, from 9 pm until 6 am: A southbound I-37 mainlane reduction will be in place from Lawrence Drive to Port Avenue. Motorists should plan for slow-rolling traffic.
Tuesday, June 24, from 9 pm until 6 am: The connector ramp from southbound I-37 to southbound SH 286 will be closed. Motorists should seek alternate routes.
Portable message signs will be in place to alert commuters of the lane reduction and ramp closure and to assist with navigating the alternate route.
Motorists are urged to be aware of detours, slow-rolling traffic, plan for a alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
