CORPUS CHRISTI – Beginning Friday, January 29, from 9 pm until 6 am on Saturday, January 30, motorists heading northbound on IH 37 at the SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) interchange will be reduced to one mainlane of traffic.   During the lane reduction, northbound IH 37 mainlanes at Port Avenue will be shifted to the right onto newly constructed freeway lanes.  The long-term traffic shift represents new freeway construction related to the Harbor Bridge Project.

Portable message signs will be in place to alert motorists of the lane reduction and traffic shift.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the mainlane changes, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones.  All work is weather permitting.
