CORPUS CHRISTI – Beginning tonight, June 22, all northbound IH 37 mainlanes will be closed near the IH 37 and SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) interchange from 9 pm until 6 am tomorrow, June 23. This closure is necessary for construction related to the Harbor Bridge Project.
Motorists heading northbound on IH 37 towards Calallen will be detoured onto southbound SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway), make a U-turn at Tarlton Avenue, and back to northbound IH 37.
Portable message signs will be in place to assist motorists with navigating the alternate routes.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the mainlane closures, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
