Harbor Bridge Project announces the opening of Lake Street and improved connectivity for motorists and pedestrians around Northside Neighborhoods. Permanent opening to be in place May 6.

CORPUS CHRISTI – On Saturday, May 6, Lake Street will permanently open to improve connectivity from Sam Rankin Street to N Port Avenue. The newly constructed route will include sidewalks on each side of the street.

The opening signifies a new milestone for Harbor Bridge Project roadworks construction.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the new traffic configuration and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.

2. Includes LED lighting feature, belvedere and shared-use path.

8. The length of the main span of the bridge is equivalent to the length of 5 ½ football fields.
