CORPUS CHRISTI – Beginning immediately until 3 pm TODAY, all southbound US 181 mainlanes will be impacted by slow-rolling traffic between Burleson Street and Beach Avenue.
A mainlane flagging operation will be in place for motorists heading southbound on US 181. Alternatively, traffic may take the Beach Avenue exit and follow the W Causeway Boulevard frontage road to reenter US 181 past Burleson Street for a detour.
Portable message signs and flaggers will be in place to alert motorists of the slow-rolling traffic.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the alternating mainlane closures, consider using the detour routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
