CORPUS CHRISTI – On Friday, June 14, from 9 pm until 5 am, Saturday, June 15, all eastbound I-37 mainlanes will be closed from Buddy Lawerence Drive to Nueces Bay Boulevard. The closure is necessary to complete the construction of permanent sign columns.

Motorists heading eastbound on I-37 towards the Bayfront area or southbound SH 286 will be detoured at Buddy Lawrence Drive and continue down the frontage road to reenter I-37 at the on-ramp just east of Nueces Bay Boulevard.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the full mainlane closure, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
