CORPUS CHRISTI –On Wednesday, January 6, from 9 am until 2 pm, and Thursday, January 7, from 9 am until 2 pm, traffic heading northbound on SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) to northbound and southbound IH 37 will experience delays of fifteen (15) minutes or less. Portable message boards will be in place to notify motorists of the delays and slow rolling traffic.
Additionally, on Wednesday, January 6, from 9 am until 2 pm, and Thursday, January 7, from 9 am until 2 pm, traffic heading southbound on IH 37 mainlanes at the SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) interchange will experience delays of fifteen (15) minutes or less. Portable message boards will be in place to detour motorists onto southbound SH 286, make a U-turn at Tarlton Avenue, and back to southbound IH 37.
The delays are necessary to progress construction work related to the Harbor Bridge Project.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the mainlane and direct connector delays, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
