CORPUS CHRISTI –Beginning Wednesday, July 22, through Saturday, August 15, the direct connector from northbound SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) to northbound IH 37 will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. This closure is necessary for construction related to the Harbor Bridge Project.
Detours will be in place to take the IH 37 southbound exit from SH 286 and make a U-turn at Chaparral Street to IH 37 northbound. Traffic signs will assist motorists with navigating through the alternate route.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the closure, to consider using alternate routes, to follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
