CORPUS CHRISTI –Beginning Friday, May 8, 2020, the newly constructed exit ramp to Comanche Street from northbound SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) will be open to traffic. This new ramp replaces the northbound SH 286 exit ramp to Leopard Street which will be closed on May 8Th.
Motorists can now access the Corpus Christi uptown and downtown areas utilizing Comanche Street. A map showing the alternate routes to Leopard Street is attached.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the exit changes, to consider using alternate routes, to follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in all work zones. All work is weather permitting.
