CORPUS CHRISTI –The intersection at IH 37 and Port Avenue will be closed on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. as part of the Harbor Bridge Project. The northbound and southbound lanes of Port Avenue will be reduced to one lane as motorists approach the IH 37/Port Avenue intersection. The closures and lane reductions are necessary for the demolition of the Port Avenue Bridge.
Frontage roads will remain open and detours will be in place. Please see attached detour map. All work is weather permitting.
The Port Avenue Bridge will be reconstructed as part of the Harbor Bridge project.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the lane closures, to consider using alternate routes, to follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones.
