The Harbor Bridge Project announces ongoing paving operation to install the final surface layer along I-37 frontage roads and mainlanes from Staples Street to Nueces Bay Blvd. Intermittent lane and ramp closures will occur. Short-term closures to continue along I-37 through the end of October 2024.

CORPUS CHRISTI – Continuing Monday, October 7, through the end of October, paving convoys will be in place along I-37 mainlanes and frontage roads to install final asphalt surface layers from Staples Street to Nueces Bay Blvd. Entrance and exit ramps, frontage roads, and mainlanes will be intermittently closed to support the operation as it progresses. This final step to complete the roadways marks a significant milestone towards improved connectivity around the South Interchange.

Commuters are urged to be aware of short-term closures, lane reductions, traffic control devices, flaggers, reduced lanes, and slow-moving traffic along the frontage roads and mainlanes. All work is weather permitting.
