The Harbor Bridge Project announces the opening of a new direct connector to affect traffic heading northbound on SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway) to northbound IH 37 (New permanent connector ramp opening to be in effect September 30, 2021)

CORPUS CHRISTI – Beginning TODAY at 6 pm, the newly constructed director connector ramp from northbound SH 286 to northbound IH 37 will be open to the traveling public. As a result, commuters traveling in this direction will no longer be detoured to the Staples Street exit to access northbound IH 37. The new connector ramp represents completed roadwork associated with the Harbor Bridge Project.

Signage will be in place to assist motorists with navigating the new connector ramp.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the new ramp, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in all work zones. All work is weather permitting.
