CORPUS CHRISTI – On Wednesday, September 28, from 9 pm until 6 am, the northbound SH 286 exits to northbound US 181, and northbound IH 37 will be closed. The temporary closures are necessary to install route shield pavement markings.
Motorists heading towards northbound US 181 will be detoured to the Comanche Street exit and continue along the frontage road to northbound US 181.
Motorists heading towards northbound IH 37 will be detoured to the Comanche Street exit and continue along the frontage road to the Staples Street exit, turn left on Staples Street, and continue along the frontage road to the entrance ramp for northbound IH 37.
Traffic control devices will be in place to assist motorists with navigating the alternate routes.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the temporary mainlane closure, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
