Upcoming Harbor Bridge nightly closures affect the Northwest Loop Ramp from Martin Luther King Drive to southbound SH 286 (Crosstown Expressway). Temporary nightly ramp closures to be in effect November 18 – 21.

CORPUS CHRISTI – Beginning Monday, November 18, from 9 pm until 6 am, nightly through Thursday, November 21, the Northwest Loop Ramp from Martin Luther King Drive to southbound SH 286 will be closed. The closures are necessary for overhead final opaque painting operations on overhead structures.

Motorists heading southbound on US 181 to southbound SH 286 will be detoured to take the Port Ave/Nueces Bay Blvd exit, make a U-turn at Nueces Bay Blvd, and continue southbound on IH 37 to the direct connector ramp for southbound SH 286.

Motorists leaving the Bayfront area to southbound SH 286 are encouraged to continue on IH 37 and take the Port Ave/Nueces Bay Blvd exit, make a U-turn at Nueces Bay Blvd, and continue southbound on IH 37 to the direct connector ramp for southbound SH 286.

Portable message signs will be in place to alert motorists of the closure and to assist with navigating the alternate routes.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the temporary ramp closures, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
