CORPUS CHRISTI – On Thursday, October 7, from 9 pm until 6 am Friday, October 8, all northbound US 181 mainlanes will be closed from Burleson Street to Beach Avenue. Motorists will be detoured at the Burleson Street exit and follow the E Causeway Boulevard frontage road to reenter US 181 past Beach Avenue. The closure is necessary for a northbound US 181 lane shift related to the Harbor Bridge Project.
Portable message signs will be in place to alert motorists of the mainlane closure and detour route.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the full mainlane closure, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
