Upcoming Harbor Bridge Project long-term closure to affect the Comanche Street and Mexico Street Intersection. Long-term closure to be in effect beginning June 8, 2022.

CORPUS CHRISTI – Beginning Wednesday, June 8, until Wednesday, June 15, Comanche Street will be closed at the Mexico Street intersection. The long-term closure is necessary for utility work related to the Harbor Bridge Project.

Motorists heading westbound on Comanche Street will be detoured to turn left on Josephine Street, right on Howard Street, and right on Brownlee Boulevard to continue over the Comanche Street Bridge.

Motorists heading eastbound on Comanche Street will be detoured to turn left on Brownlee Boulevard, right on Lipan Street, and right on Josephine Street to Comanche Street.

Portable message signs will be in place to assist motorists with navigating the alternate routes.  Business driveways along the closed section of Comanche Street will be granted access to customers and employees.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the closure, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones.  All work is weather permitting.
