Upcoming Harbor Bridge Project long-term North Beach traffic switch to divert northbound W Causeway Boulevard traffic onto the new US 181 northbound frontage road (E Causeway Blvd) to continue over the Burleson Flyover Bridge. Motorists should plan for the new route accordingly. Long-term detour to be in effect March 15 through Summer 2025.

CORPUS CHRISTI – Beginning Saturday, March 15, a long-term traffic switch will be in place on North Beach for commuters heading north on W Causeway Boulevard from the Joe Fulton Corridor. Motorists will follow a detour onto the new E Causeway Blvd frontage road to the Burleson Flyover Bridge for access to northbound US 181 or to access North Beach attractions via Burleson Street.

Please see the attached map highlighting the long-term configuration to be in place through Summer 2025.

All traffic leaving North Beach must access southbound US 181 towards Corpus Christi by taking Beach Avenue to W Causeway Blvd.

Message boards will be in place to assist motorists with the alternate route.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the North Beach traffic switch, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
