Upcoming Harbor Bridge Project nightly closures to affect all eastbound I-37 mainlanes at the South Interchange. A detour will be in place. Temporary nightly closures to be in effect October 7 – 10, 2024.

CORPUS CHRISTI – Beginning Monday, October 7, from 9 pm until 6 am, nightly through Thursday, October 10, all eastbound I-37 mainlanes will be closed at the SH 286 Interchange. The temporary closures are necessary to remove equipment from the overhead connector ramp.

Motorists heading eastbound on I-37 towards the Bayfront or northbound US 181 towards the North Beach will be detoured to take the connector ramp to southbound SH 286, make a U-turn at Tarlton Avenue, and head northbound on SH 286 to the northbound US 181 and eastbound I-37 ramps.

Portable message signs will be in place to assist motorists in navigating the alternate route.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the mainlane closure, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
