CORPUS CHRISTI – On Thursday, September 23, from 9 pm until 6 am Friday, September 24, all northbound US 181 mainlanes will be closed from Burleson Street to Beach Avenue. Motorists will be detoured at the Burleson Street exit and follow the E Causeway Boulevard frontage road to reenter US 181 past Beach Avenue.
On Friday, September 24, from 6 am until 12 pm, Saturday, September 25, northbound US 181 from Burleson Street to Beach Avenue will be reduced to one mainlane. The closures are necessary for construction related to the Harbor Bridge Project.
Portable message signs will be in place to alert motorists of the mainlane closures and detour routes.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the mainlane closures, consider using alternate routes, follow all traffic control devices, and to slow down in the work zones. All work is weather permitting.
